I just got a 2003 cobalt 220, it runs amazing, and it’s great for tubing and skiing. Cobalt boats are definitely the way to go, even the older models are in very good shape.
Dang! I thought if I ever got to order another Cobalt, I would ask them to put two fuel fills!!!!! Cobalt already thought of everything!!!

There's nothing premium about a Bimini. Just another cookie cutter boat.
Detailed review. As a 2013 Cobalt owner, I'm not a fan of new squared look and influence of Malibu.
is this a good ocean boat?
Depends on the size. The one shown here would not be. I have this model in the 22 vs 23 ft size. Open bow boats (bowriders) aren't a good choice for oceans. You would need a really high fretboard to offset the risk of taking water over the bow. Some large Cobalt "R" and "A" models would be OK.
This market is crazy. I wish I had bought few years ago but… now so undecided for wanting one before retirement in the next 5 yrs. Not in a rush but concerned with inflation potential and interest rate increases …. I am still seeing used boats listed higher than they were new.

Why does Cobalt still use gel coat and not Imron paint?
From a maintenance standpoint, gel coat is much easier to repair as opposed to imron paint which would require the entire boat to be re-painted. Simple scuffs and scratched could be easily buffed out on a gel coat.
That product is not durable enough.
